The Wake's first post-Factory Records LP saw the group adopt a more typical "indie" sound, in-keeping with the house-style of their new label, Sarah Records. "Make It Loud" is not The Wake at their most sonically influential (though it does make more use of electronics than I remember) - if that's what you're after check the first two (Factory) albums Harmony and Here Comes Everybody Plus Singles.
