UK first press 1991. Record and sleeve EX. Yardstick formed in Cumbria, during the days of Thatcherite death-throes. Yardstick went from playing their punk rock Black Sabbath sludge to the converted in the ledgendary Three Tuns in Whitehaven to becoming a firm favourite of John Peel. On stage was where the band unleashed their potential with a penchant for using feedback as not only an instrument but also as a between song bowel loosener.
