Deram (SML-R 1058)
Release date: Jan 1, 1969, UK
UK first press 1969. Stereo edition. Record in beautiful condition, plays great. Sleeve has minor shelf wear. The Web were a slightly ironical British progressive rock band and featured the vocal talents of American John L. Watson. It features a mixture of originals written by various members of the group and a few covers of songs that were hits for other artists done in what is best described as a club/lounge style. The main strengths of the album is the groups skin-tight playing - as an instrumental unit there were seven players plus lead vocalist Watson. Many of the tracks feature long solos on Flute or Saxophone in a very jazzy style before going back to the main song.
