Jam Baxter, Lee Scott

UK first press 2019 Limited Edition, Blue. Record plays great with minor hairlines. Inners have a seam split. This project is very much Jam Baxter in autopilot mode. His delivery is slow and plodding, in a similar way to Mansion 38, but without the lyrical spark. He sounds good over these beats, and there are occasional moments of genius, but it isn't nearly as gripping as his previous works. The production is also much less ambitious than you'd expect on a Jam Baxter album - but it's still excellent for the most part. Dark, sparse and atmospheric. Eh Oh and Limoncello Ocean are notable exceptions, and their back-to-back presence really takes the steam out of the album.
