In 1977 the band recorded its second album, V2, under the production skills of Vic Maile (responsible for amongst other things Pete Townsend's backwards guitar solo on the Who's "Live At Leeds", and later Motorhead, Girlschool, etc.). Out at Jackson's Studios near Rickmansworth we recorded tracks like "Automatic Lover" (which got us on Top Of The Pops) and "Troops Of Tomorrow", the latter track requiring masses of vocals to get the sound of a big crowd.
